Prospects for the development of nuclear power engineering in Russia in the XXI century

The present state of nuclear power engineering in the Russian Federation is considered. A brief characteristic of existing problems is given, and ways for solving them are proposed. Forecasts for the possibility of developing nuclear power engineering in the first half of the XXI century are made and the main lines for scientific and technical progress in nuclear power engineering in this century are determined.
