Экспериментальное изучение и численный анализ внедрения полусферических ударников в сухой песок

2011
Two complementary experimental methodologies were used to determine integral loads acting on a cylindrical striker with a hemispherical nose penetrating into dry sand. The measuring rod methodology in an inverse experiment made it possible to determine the resistance force at the initial non-stationary penetration stage, whereas the methodology of the direct experiment in combination with high-speed photography made it possible to determine the resistance coefficient at the quasi-stationary penetration stage. The experiments were done in the velocity range of 100 to 400 m/s using strikers of hardened steel. The experimental results were used to construct curves of maximum resistance forces and the penetration resistance coefficient as a function of the impact velocity at the quasi-stationary stage.Penetration into sand under the conditions similar to the experimental ones was also numerically analyzed. The 2-D UPSGOD software package was used as a computation complex. The soil medium was described using Grigoryan's model with parameters determined from plane-wave experiments and experiments using modified Kolsky method. The computational results obtained are in good agreement with the experimental data.
