Preparation of thin films and ultrafine powders of (La,Sr)2NiO4 by a spray-ICP technique

Abstract (110)-oriented thin films and ultrafine powders of La 2 NiO 4 and La 1.5 Sr 0.5 NiO 4 were prepared by a spray-ICP technique. The composition of the powder showed excess La compared with the starting mother solution. La 2 NiO 4 and La 1.5 Sr 0.5 NiO 4 thin films exhibited metallic electrical resistivity.
