Simulation and Analysis on Work hardening of Mechanical repeated ruling process

In order to study the superiority of mechanical repeated ruling grating blank over single mechanical ruling, the theoretical study and physical model of work hardening of mechanical repeated ruling are first established. Then combined with the finite element simulation software, four groups of single factor test methods with constant total depth were adopted respectively. The first group is a single-order ruling test, and the rest group are mechanical repeated ruling test. The work hardening of grating blanks is studied and compared, respectively. The results show that: the mechanical repeated ruling grating blank has some advantages on work hardening, and has a certain rule. Considering the factors, the combination scheme of first bigger deep and second smaller ruling depth is adopted and best. The results of this study provide a theoretical basis for the mechanical repeated ruling grating.
