New Rural Planning Based on Land Suitability——A Case Study of Houzhuang Village

Since the new rural construction and planning has stepped into an accelerated stage,the key point is that whether the land use is reasonable.According to the unreasonable land use situations,this study takes Houzhuang Village in Gaotai County,Gansu Province as an example to evaluate the land suitability.Based on the GIS,the arable land,residential land,orchard land and facility land were selected as the study objects,and the altitude,slope,aspect,road conditions,water conditions and the current land use condition were regarded as the evaluation factors,then the weights of factors used for evaluation were decided by the method of analytical hierarchy process(AHP)from three aspects,terrain,road and water conditions,and status quo.After that,we got the results of suitability of four land types in Houzhuang Village by single factor analysis and multi-factor overlay analysis.In the end,we took the final results as one basis for the new rural planning and construction,looking forward to make use of land source effectively in new rural construction process.
