TESTING AND DESIGN OF SUPERCONDUCTING MAGNETIC LEVITATION MICRO-FLYWHEEL SYSTEM

2011
The vertical vibration responses of YBCO superconductor maglev system on different suspension heights and different vibration frequencies are investigated in this letter. For lower vibration frequency, the system can resume the suspension height, like a spring system. The resonant frequency, which led to a small damping and an intense vibration, linearly increases when decreasing the gap between the superconductors and the magnet. It makes the energy loss and suspension height of the system significantly to be reduced. These relationships are useful in improving the levitation performance of high temperature superconductor maglev systems.
