Enhanced SA Decoding Algorithm in LTE-V2V Communications

Schedule Assignment (SA) decoding algorithm is an autonomous resource selection algorithm in Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) communications. It is able to avoid collisions and reduce interference between vehicle user equipments (VUEs). However, the existing SA decoding algorithm has the problem of hidden node so that the reliability of communications decreases especially on the edge of vehicle communication range. Therefore, this paper proposes an enhanced SA decoding algorithm which utilizes a SA sharing mechanism to address the problem of hidden node. The system level simulation results suggest that the proposed algorithm can promote communication reliability on the edge of communication range with respect to the existing SA decoding algorithm.
