Primena standarda i tehničkih propisa pri transportu robe kontejnerima

The International Container Bureau (French: Bureau International des conteneurs, BIC) has set, adopted and promoted the development of intermodal freight transport on the international level. Large steel boxes, i.e. freight containers (commonly shipping containers), have been developed in cooperation with the Technical Committee 104 of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). This was the necessary condition for the deployment of the intermodal freight transport. Also, successful implementation and economical justification of this mode of transport has been made possible together with the development of the special transportation vehicles (container ships, semi-trailer trucks and freight trains), container cranes at container terminals and information system. The aim of this paper is to give an insight into the notion and purpose of containers and the implementation of the eco standards and technical regulations for the loading of goods and safety in the containers during freight transport.
