Experiment Study On Active Control of Non-contacting Mechanical Seal

The principle and new structure of hydrostatic seal are introduced briefly.The distribution of gas film pressure is obtained.The influence of quench gas pressure on sealing parameters is analyzed.The parameters can be changed by regulating quench gas pressure on line.The initiative adjustment principle of hydrostatic seal is introduced.The experiment aiming at gas film thickness and leakage are conducted to very the theoretical analysis.The feasibility of initiative adjustment is confirmed and the initiative adjustment performance is analyzed.
