Bachelor theses deals with the legal aspects of European Union membership in World Trade Organization. It describes the development of the relationship between those two international organizations and also it characterizes membership of EU in WTO, where among the membership of the EU in WTO are also all member states of EU members of WTO. Based on the most important cases of European Court of Justice describes this theses the position of WTO law in EU. European Court of Justice is not willing to accept the direct effect of WTO law and the rights of individuals to invoke WTO law. In the end of this thesis are mentioned some of biggest trade disputes between EU and the member states of WTO. Based on these disputes, the theses characterizes the aspects of trade disputes between EU and member states of WTO and tries to indicate the interests of EU in WTO.
