The World-Wide Web

The World-Wide Web (WWW) is the best known information service developed on the Internet that attracts millions of users. It offers a compelling ease of access to all the information available in the Internet. Often, the WWW is regarded as and named as THE Internet. In this chapter, we want to describe the background and the real applications of the WWW for the practising radiologist.
