Ventricular fibrillation induced by a radiofrequency energy delivery for idiopathic right ventricular outflow tachycardia

2008
Abstract We report a case of a patient with idiopathic right ventricular tachycardia who underwent radiofrequency (RF) catheter ablation. Shortly after the delivery of the RF energy, a nonsustained VT cluster occurred, and eventually resulted in VF, requiring cessation of the RF delivery and a 200 J transthoracic external cardioversion delivery.
