TheWHOQoL-BREF questionnaire was used to measure the QoL. Linear Regression Model was conducted to determine therelationship between the QoL of the study population and various variables. Results: The mean of total QoL of diabeticpatients (77.8) was higher than non-diabetics (75). The mean score obtained in physical, psychosocial, social andenvironmental (p=0.02) domains among diabetics were higher compared to non-diabetics. There was no significantdifference observed for overall quality of life and general health perception among these two groups. Backward multiplelinear regression model identified that education was significantly associated with all domains except social among thediabetic person. Physical domain was also related to smoking habit (p = 0.015). Psychological domain was alsosignificantly associated with BMI and history of hypertension. Dietary pattern was significantly related to social (p= 0.01)and environmental (p=0.02) domains. Conclusions: HRQOL is high in diabetic patients living in a rural area of our studyarea.
