Candida auris : First case report from Uttarakhand

Candida auris is rapidly emerging fungus which is nightmare not only for treating physician but also for hospital administrators since it prone to cause clonal spread and outbreaks in hospitals. We report a case of C.auris fungemia in a 35-year-old male, post Whipple’s procedure cured with caspofungin. MALDI-TOF MS (Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionisation-Time of Flight), Bruker Daltonics, Germany. played a critical role in timely and successful management of this patient
