Effects of loading distribution on a vaned diffuser

The effects of loading distribution on a vaned diffuser of a highly loaded centrifugal compressor were numerically investigated by NUMECA.Three kinds of loading distributions,i.e.:forward loading,backward loading and hub/tip loading,were discussed.Their effects on the vaned diffuser and the flow mechanism were analyzed.It is demonstrated that the vaned diffuser with hub/tip loading could achieve the best performance.
