Condensed Matter Studies with Polarized Bound Negative Muons
1992
Experimental advances in solid state physics research using polarized negative muons (in the ground state of muonic atoms) are reviewed. The main subjects are studies of μ - hyperfine interactions in magnetic materials, electronic structure around oxygen, and some exotic bounding effects, etc. Basic principles and distinctive features of the μ - SR method are also presented. Futhermore, possible future developments are briefly discussed.
