Re-activación del valor perdido de la hacienda Villa Mejía - centro de documentación y aprendizaje histórico de la sabana de Bogotá

This research evinces the need to preserve the Hacienda Villa Mejia, as one of the vestige farm belonging to the era of the Colombian Republic. It is located on the Ciudad de Cali Avenue, between 13 Avenue and Americas Avenue. Additionally, it represents the desolation and abandonment of the era stays, due to the advances at the time. Bearing in mind the advances, the Hacienda Villa Mejia has been developed in a conditioned environment, affecting outskirts tree-lined which got unnoticed by passerbies. Therefore, it is necessary to restructure some spaces by engaging passerbies in arts and culture intended to recreate the Colombian Republic. It is well known that there are unused places and these may be valuable to acknowledge events from our culture which are unnoticeable. In the same spirit, it is possible to remove useless elements to enjoy a beautiful environment. The aforementioned, seeks to keep the most admirable landscape elements and highlight the era vestiges. Thus, this proposal emerges from analysis and observation regarding the Hacienda Villa Mejia.
