Stabilization of Spin-Polarized Atomic Hydrogen in a High Magnetic Field at Low Temperatures

1990
The method of gaseous atomic hydrogen stabilization in high magnetic fields (B = 7−10 T) and at low temperatures (T < 1K) can be employed for the creation of a new generation of polarized proton sources or polarized jet-targets for high energy spin physics experiments1. Therefore, a cryostat for stabilization of spin-polarized atomic hydrogen is built at JINR, Dubna.
