Selecting network services based on joint assessment by customer and provider

1996
The method proposed for selecting network services is based on cooperative assessment by the customer and provider. The provider identifies assessment items such as cost and performance; the customer ranks the assessment items in terms of relative importance. The customer may also be asked to identify their preferred decision-making criterion. By analyzing these inputs with such mathematical techniques as the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), the multi-attribute attitude model, and fuzzy integration, the service that best meets the customer's needs is identified.
