Method and device for constraining codebook subset

Disclosed are a method and device for constraining a codebook subset. The method comprises: respectively determining codebook subset constraint parameters for all or part of matrix sets for constructing a codebook, the codebook subset constraint parameters being used for indicating available matrixes in the corresponding matrix sets; and sending the determined codebook subset constraint parameters to a terminal. The number of matrixes comprised by matrix sets for constructing a codebook is far less than that of precoding matrixes in the codebook.
