Group work in teaching biology

1993
In her work the author points to a great significance and role of group work in teaching biology. This is especially researched in laboratory work, during microscoping practice, working in the corner of the botanical garden with lining plants in the open. Combined with other forms of work it is Unique in other forms of teaching as well. With the frontal approach it is widely used in all types of classes. In the teaching of biology it is not difficult to find contents suitable to group work, especially in extra work and free time activities, which the pupils are familiar with and are interested in, and which are closely connected with their life and activities in school, at home, in the neighborhood. With the group work pupils can explain only the natural phenomena accessible to them on the basis of former knowledge and the material available, which can be discovered described, proved, showed or illustrated.
