The article is devoted to topical questions of formation of favorable innovation environment as the basic condition of development of the national economy. The author developed a model of coordination of elements of the innovation environment and the peculiarities of modern innovation processes. The article discusses the problems constraining innovative development of the national economy, and presents the factors that contribute to enhancing innovative activity.
