comparison to bioesters derived from rapeseed oil. There are presented results of analitical identification of the transesterification intermediates: mono- and diacylglycerols and unreacted triacylglycerols in the transesterification products. The transesterification reaction was conducted in the following conditions: temp 55±5 o C, time 3 h, methanol quantity 20% (w/w), catalyst — KOH 0,8% (w/w). The analysis was conducted using a capillary gas chromatography. The lard transesterification products during the first reaction hour, contrary to rapeseed oil, contained more triacylglycerols than monoacylglycerols. After 3h reaction, the products of both beef tallow and rapeseed oil transesterification showed similar tendencies – higher concentrations of monoacylglycerols than triacylglycerols.
