Multi-head recording apparatus

1978
PURPOSE:To accomplish an even printing through correction of variances of all heads by arranging resistors for setting the output voltage of respective drive circuits in an array in the direction and on the plane equal to the substrate corresponding to the multiple heads. CONSTITUTION:Pulses coming to an inverter 21 turns off an transistor 22 while transistors 23 and 24 are turned on to apply the drive voltage on an electrostrictive vibrator. Thus, ink drops are injected. The first and second resistors 27 and 26 are made up of thick film (thin film) resistors in an array in the direction and on the plane equal to the substrate corresponding to each multiple head. The multiple heads are driven in sequence to inject ink drops, where the injection force is detected with a pressure sensitive element. Depending on the amount detected, the trimming level of the head is determined. This trimming using laser working, sandblasting or the like allows easy adjustment of resistance value of the resistors to determine the output voltage value.
