Synthesis of PEO‐based physical gels with tunable viscoelastic properties Part A Polymer chemistry

2018
A major challenge in physical gel systems is tailoring of rheological properties, with future applications being enabled by the development of a robust strategy for tuning viscoelasticity in a wide range. This report describes a library of physical gels comprised of PEO‐based triblock copolymers with stress relaxations being systematically controlled depending on the length of the side‐chains (n‐hexyl to n‐dodecyl). The synthetic accessibility of these PEO derivatives illustrates a versatile route to next generation biomaterials.
