Some characteristics of the healthcare system in Bulgaria

The cost of hospital care has increased unjustifiably in recent years. The number of healthcare institutions increases unreasonably, thus creating conditions for oversupply of healthcare services and activities. It is essential to specify guidelines to address and effectively tackle the structural problems at a hospital structure level, with a manager in the center and his/her competence being aimed at motivating employees to provide for higher quality of services in order to help health care workers and patients overcome the difficulties resulting from the health system.
