Determination of Rubber Melts Initial Viscosity from Molecular Weight Distribution by Neural Networks

1998
Technological properties of rubber melts are related to their physical and chemical properties, in particular to their ability of flowing, characterized by their viscosity. Viscosity of rubber melts, as nonnewtonian liquids, depends on shear rate. The initial viscosity of a melt, i. e. viscosity at zero shear rate, is a material property from which viscosity at arbitrary shear rates may readily be calculated.
