The Value of Noninvasive Regional CBF Measurements in Diagnostic and Follow-up Studies in Cerebral Vascular Diseases with Special Regard to EIAB

Assessment of patients with cerebrovascular disease requires precise information on rCBF. In view of the technical improvement of non-invasive rCBF measurement (nrCBF), we have applied noninvasive rCBF equipment in Mainz since 1977. We undertook this study to establish the indication for EIAB and to obtain reliable data for assessment of the results of drug therapy as well as of surgical therapy by follow-up nrCBF measurement.
