Right-sided traumatic diaphragmatic hernia

A case of post-traumatic diaphragmatic hernia on the right side in a 18-month-old child is presented. The hernia followed trivial blunt trauma sustained two months earlier. The hernia was successfully repaired by thoracotomy. The condition is rare on the right side. Diagnosis depends on clinical suspicion and skiagrams of the chest. The relevant literature is reviewed.
