Study of very thin surface layers by means of depth selective conversion electron Mössbauer spectroscopy (DCEMS)
1982
Abstract The applicability of 57 Fe depth selective conversion electron Mossbayer spectroscopy to the study of very thin ( ⪅50 A ) surface layers is demonstrated. A very thin oxide layer on the surface of air-exposed iron is found to be non-resonant at room temperature.
