Polymorphism of Eu/sub 2/TiO/sub 5/

This work presents the general rules governing the polymorphic conversions of the titanates of the rare-earth elements having the composition R/sub 2/TiO/sub 5/ (R = La, Sc, Y) and it presents the temperature dependence of these conversions on the radius of the rare-earth elements. These rules allow the authors to predict the structure of the compounds R/sub 2/TiO/sub 5/, formed in the interaction of their oxides in the ratio TiO/sub 2/:R/sub 2/O/sub 3/ = 1:1 at high temperatures.
