Estimations for the region of attraction of steady solutions of the ALFLEX plane's equations of motion

The paper presents a stability analysis of the nonlinear equations of motion of the ALFLEX experimental plane. Estimations for the region of attraction of steady solutions are obtained using numerical nonlinear optimization techniques based on Lyapunov-type methods, such as Zubov's recursive procedure and maximal Lyapunov functions. The analysis indicates that these methods are well suited for the study of regions of attractions of stable solutions for high order systems.
