Integrando formación e investigación sobre la transversalidad de los ODS: Género y salud, dimensiones esenciales de la sostenibilidad

2019
From our experience in Human Ecology and Bio Anthropology, we have investigated the consequences of environmental change on the gender gap and sexual and reproductive health in the different stages of the life cycle, analyzing populations that occupy very different types of socio-ecosystems. In 2015, coinciding with the UN launch of the 2030 Program for Sustainable Development, we initiated a new investigation "Women, Biocultural Diversity and Sustainability (2016-2020)", with three main objectives: Identify the dimensions and indicators of gender, health and other determinants of sustainability; work from the University, with scientific associations and NGDOs; provide a virtual tool, (Virtual Museum of Human Ecology), as an open educational resource. Three years later, we reflected here on the first results obtained, with special reference to the Virtual Museum of Human Ecology.
