Bacteriologic aspects of pelvic inflammatory disease in gynecologic patients.

The bacteriology of acute pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) was studied in 65 women. Endometrial, endocervical and vaginal cuff cultures were taken. In some cases blood cultures and cultures from the
