Creating Interface Space for Ethics Training and Moral Development in a Profit Driven System

2017
Amid increasing moral expectations from the public and other stakeholders, moral muteness among managers remains increasingly problematic as managers suffer from the inability to speak about ethics as part of their managerial position. In this symposium, four panelists, three professors and one practitioner, will answer the question: How do faculty in higher education, and those engaged in professional workshops and other consulting experiences, create space for discussions about the interface between organizational performance/profitability and ethics? Specific ethics and moral development activities and exercises will be presented describing how we engage students and employees operating within a profit and performance driven system."
