ESTUDO ETNOBOTÂNICO DE ERYTHRINA FALCATA BENTH. (FABACEAE) NO SUL DE SANTA CATARINA, BRASIL

2021
Erythrina falcata Benth., known as corticeira-da-serra, is a plant with distribution from the Southeast to the Southern of Brazil. It is used in folk medicine for the treatment of anxiety. Due to the low number of scientific articles found for this species, this study aimed to carry out an ethnobotanical of E. falcata. For the ethnobotanical study, structured interviews were carried out with the application of a form for a member of each sampled family of the town of Nova Veneza, where the interviewees provided information on the knowledge about E. falcata. The ethnobotanical results showed that 20.47% of interviewees knew E. falcata and only one (01) person used it as a medicinal plant. However, the few information provided about the use as a medicinal plant was in agreement with the literature consulted so far.
