It is an object of the present invention to provide a bending apparatus for bending a strip-like material, which can avoid excessive drag on the web-like material is applied, while the setting operation when the specification is to be formed on the sheet-like material modified is easily performs and reduces the manufacturing and maintenance costs of the bending device. According to the present invention, a bending apparatus for bending a strip-like material is provided to a corrugated sheet-like material comprising a support means for depositing the sheet-like material to its support surface which is formed with the desired corrugations; a feeding means for feeding the support means at a spacing of the corrugations formed on the supporting means, step by step; a bending means which is adapted between a correspondence position in which the tip of the bending means engaging in one of the corrugations of the support means, and a retracted position in which the tip of the bending means is retracted from the corrugations, to and to be moved to bending the sheet-like material along the corrugations formed on the support means on the corresponding position; a low-pressure means, which is adapted between a correspondence position in which the tip of the pressing-down means is immersed in one of the corrugations of the support means, adjacent to the corrugation, which is engaged by the bending means, and a retracted position in which the tip of the pressing-down means from is withdrawn the corrugations, to be moved back and to press down the web-like material that is bent by the bending means toward the support means; and a driving means for performing the bending of the belt-like material by sequential reciprocation of the bending means and the pressing-down means, wherein causing the pressing-down means presses down the sheet-like material.
