Calculations of the High Lying (2pns)^(1,3)P° and (2pnd)^(1,3)P° Rydberg States of the be Atom via the Modified Atomic Orbital Theory
2014
We report in this paper on the energy positions of the (2pns) ^(1,3)P° and (2pnd) ^(1,3)P° and resonance widths of the (2pns) ^1P° (n = 3-25) doubly excited states of the beryllium atom. The calculations are performed using the Modified Atomic Orbital Theory (MAOT). The present results compared very well with the available theoretical and experimental literature values. The accurate data presented in this work may be useful guidelines for the physical community focusing their studies on the photoabsorption spectrum of Be.
