The invention relates to a method for cleaning a continuous an electric demineralizer, and belongs to the technical field of boiler feed water treatment. The method includes four processes of system washing, washing with a sodium chloride solution, circular washing with a sodium chloride/sodium hydroxide mixed solution, and reduction for standby application. The method has the characteristics as follows: organic and biological pollutants in a CEDI (Continuous Electrodeionization) membrane stack are removed by a high-pH cleaning solution; before the high-pH cleaning solution circulates, a neutral NaCl solution is used for washing a resin, and hardness ions in the resin are removed, so that the ions are prevented from precipitating in the high-pH cleaning solution; and the phenomenon that the organic and biological pollutants are hardened when a low-pH cleaning agent is used for removing the hardness ions in the past is avoided; and a CEDI system is cleaned with a mixed solution of 5% sodium chloride and 2% sodium hydroxide, the operation is simple, and the effect for removing the organic and biological pollutants is good.
