An investigation of the osmotic model of cement curing by ultrasonics

Abstract Ultrasonic measurements were performed in the samples with different water to cement ratios, at different temperatures, and in the samples with added retardants. The results could be qualitatively explained with the osmotic theory of the solidification of cement.
