Men are Finite and Infinite——Mou Zongshan's Surmounting of Kant's Preposition of "Men are Finite and Rational Existence"

2007
By dividing Kant's preposition of "Men are Finite and Rational Existence" into four parts,Mou Zongshan finds the contradiction in it.These four parts are "Men are finite","God is infinite","God is rationally determined",and "Ration is men's ration",and the contradiction is that "Ration can not comprehend itself".Mou,depending on the source of traditional Chinese philosophy, demonstrates that "Men are finite and infinite" to solute the contradiction. The new preposition presents the infiniteness within the object itself as well as its significance, preparing the condition for the establishment of moral metaphysics.
