Ayabaca, Piura, Perú: Análisis de patrones migratorios y del uso del suelo
2003
Since 1998 after the treaty of peace between Peru and Ecuador, the Frontier Region has been a focal point of research and development. This study is part of a larger project proposed to take place in all areas in the Frontier Region of northern Peru (Departments of Piura, Tumbes and northern Cajamarca), and southern Ecuador (Provinces of Loja and El Oro, and Zamora-Chinchipe). The purpose is to identify migration patterns and potential economic development in the region. This report contains three sections: an urban land-use survey, an economic study and a population/ migration analysis. Finally there are recommendations for future development for the city and province of Ayabaca, Peru.
