Propyne at 30 μm: a line by line simulation of the ν10 band

Abstract In order to allow a better determination of the abundance of propyne (or methyl-acetylene) on Titan, we have analyzed a high-resolution infrared specrum of this compound at 30 μm. Almost 2000 transitions were assigned in the ν 10 perpendicular band and fitted with a standard deviation of 0.56 × 10 −3 cm −1 . A line by line prediction was made, including all the transitions of this band stronger than 0.7 × 10 −3 cm −2 atm −1 at 300 K.
