Wound healing agent

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a wound healing agent that suppresses bacteria growth, promotes granulation tissue formation and epithelialization, and also suppresses foreign-body reactions of the granulation tissue. This wound healing agent includes water and a protein (A) having a GAGAGS sequence (1), an amino acid sequence (X), and/or an amino acid sequence (X'), and is characterized by: the total proportion of a random coil structure and a beta-turn structure in the protein (A) as found by circular dichroism spectroscopy being 60%-85%; and the total proportion of amino acids in the amino acid sequence (X) and amino acids in the amino acid sequence (X') relative to the total amino acids in the protein (A) being 50%-70%. Amino acid sequence (X): At least one type of amino acid sequence selected from a group comprising a VPGVG sequence (2), a GVGVP sequence (3), and a GAHGPAGPK sequence (4). Amino acid sequence (X'): An amino acid sequence having each of the one or two amino acids in the amino acid sequence (X) replaced by lysine (K) or arginine (R).
