Experimental transition probabilities and lifetimes of some 2p43p levels of Ne(II)

Abstract Relative transition probabilities for 21 ( 3 P )3 p -( 3 P )3s lines of Ne(II) have been determined from emission line-intensity measurements. The lifetimes of the ( 1 D )3 p 2 F 7 2 and ( 1 D )3 p 2 F 5 2 levels of singly-ionized Ne have been measured by the delayed coincidence method; possible cascade transitions that may repopulate these levels have been studied. Comparisons are made with other experimental and theoretical values.
