Upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously passed, the reading of the Minutes of the General Session Business Meeting held in Washington, D. C, August 6, 1973, was waived. Mr. Ward, Chairman of the Membership Committee, reported that during the past year 476 new members had been added, making a total Section membership of 4,611, representing a 12% increase over the previous year, which he stated is indicative of the growing interest in the activities and professional interests of the Section. Mr. Perry delivered the Annual Report of the Chairman, which is attached hereto, in which he discussed the activities of the Section during the past year, including two national institutes and a regional conference, the reports and recommendations of the Section regarding energy and mineral shortages and the activities of the Committee on Environmental Quality. He expressed his thanks to all of the Officers, Council members, Committee Chairmen, and Vice-Chairmen and others of the Section, who contributed to the work of the Section during the past year. In the absence of Clair Nelson, Section Delegate to the House of Delegates, Mr. Perry briefly discussed the energy and mineral reports and resolutions which had been prepared by the Section at the request of the ABA and are now before the House of Delegates for adoption. Mr. Perry then called upon the Chairman of the Nominating Committee, J. P. Hammond, who placed in nomination the names of the following for the positions indicated:
