Review on the Gene Stacking in Plants

One of the important directions of plant genetic engineering and biotechnology is to transfer different foreign genes into plants and implement gene stacking of plant genetic engineering and biotechnology is an important direction.Gene stacking and reorganization of choice characters were realized within a small scope of commercial genetically modified(GM) crops,but only a handful of products have been developed by introducing three or more novel genes.This article reviews several major techniques of gene stacking,and analyse the potential and problems of these various techniques,and then describes the prospects of its development.
