Local Structure and Magnetic Hyperfine Interactions of 57Fe Probe Nuclei in TlCr0.9557Fe0.05O3

2021
Mossbauer measurements have been performed on nuclei of 57Fe probe atoms in the perovskite-structure of the TlCr0.9557Fe0.05O3 chromite synthesized at high pressure. Reasons for the observed differences between the parameters of electric and magnetic hyperfine interactions between 57Fe nuclei in the TlCrO3 chromite and isostructural rare earth chromites have been analyzed. Contributions with different signs to Fe–O–Cr and Cr–O–Cr exchange interactions in ferrite–chromites with the perovskite structure. The magnetic and thermodynamic properties of the studied chromite have been measured and compared to the data for an iron-undoped TlCrO3 sample.
