Aircraft having a door area, with a floor of a passenger cabin and with a base element (100), the base element (100) comprising: a ground segment (14) which is mounted in the door region; a lighting device (1) with a light source (12); wherein the illumination device (1) is integrated in the floor segment (14) and is designed for visual distinction between an exterior of the aircraft and to an interior region of the aircraft; and wherein the light source of the lighting device (1) is formed as area light with a protective cover which is arranged on the same plane as the floor of the passenger cabin.
