The invention a recovery method of sorbic acid waste acid, which comprises the following steps: reacting acetic acid and sorbic acid in the waste acid with added ethanol by using HCl in wastewater as a catalyst to generate ethyl acetate and ethyl sorbate, and rectifying to recover ethyl acetate, water, dilute hydrochloric acid and ethyl sorbate, wherein the dilute hydrochloric acid can be directly recycled to the sorbic acid hydrolysis procedure, and the recovery rates of the ethyl acetate and ethyl sorbate are respectively 95% or above. The whole technique is simple and easy to operate. The treated water and dilute hydrochloric acid can be recycled, and the acetic acid and sorbic acid are effectively recovered. Thus, the method is energy-saving and environment-friendly, and further implements clean production.
